1929 Team Page

Although I have not located schedule or scores for this team,

I do have the reference from the 1940 Haleyville Advertiser Newspaper

that the 1929 Team was Winston County Champions. Also the only

Yellow Jacket player that I am aware of that played college and then

went on to the National Football League was a Senior on this team.

Hermit Davis, 5'11", 205lbs, went on to play at Birmingham Southern

College and then in 1936 he is listed as on Offensive End for the Chicago

Cardinals which are now the Arizona Cardinals.
